The Vision Light team with teachers and pupils at a partner school

Building bridges to education, one child at a time.

Vision Light Foundation was founded on January 8, 2023 to bridge the gap in educational access for children in rural and low-income communities.

Our story

It started with listening.

“My child loves school, but I cannot afford it.”
What we hear, again and again, from parents

There is a child who wakes up early every day, not to prepare for school, but to help at home or find food. That child wants to learn. They ask questions, they dream, but school feels far away.

We work with children and families who want more for their future. We listen to their stories. We see children who are smart but lack opportunity, and parents who want nothing more than to keep them in class.

So we focus on what keeps a child learning: school supplies packed with teachers, tuition support that never pauses, and mentors who believe in them. Education is more than reading and writing. Children also need guidance, values, and support. We build the mind, the heart, and the character.

Every child we support takes one step closer to a better future. Each opportunity we create helps break the cycle of poverty and inequality: one story at a time, one future at a time.

Our mission

To break the cycle of poverty through education, economic empowerment, and spiritual development, helping underprivileged children become purpose-driven leaders of tomorrow.

Our vision

A world where every child has equal access to quality education, economic opportunities, and spiritual growth.

What we stand for

Five values, lived every day.

These are the values every volunteer is asked about when they join us.

  1. 01

    Commitment

We follow up with teachers and families long after the first handoff, so learners stay in class.

  2. 02

    Integrity

Every volunteer agrees to uphold our mission honestly, and every cause we list is field audited.

  3. 03

    Service

Volunteering with us is unpaid. It is an impact commitment, given freely.

  4. 04

    Empathy

We listen first. Programmes are shaped by the children, parents, and teachers we serve.

  5. 05

    Accountability

Photos, checklists, and spending receipts for every kit, shared with the people who fund them.

Where we work

Rooted in southwest Nigeria.

Priorities are set with local schools and families. We listen first, then build alongside educators and volunteers.
